  7.      This text file describes how I have implemented RIP in
  8.     my BBS setup of RA. It is not the only or the best way to
  9.     implement it, just a way.
  10.  
  11.      Create two subdirectories off of the main RA directory.
  12.       \RA\RIPTXT to hold the text files displayed
  13.       \RA\RIPMNU to hold the menus
  14.  
  15.      Copy the ENGLISH.RAL file to RIP.RAL
  16.  
  17.      Setup the RIP protocol as a Language in RACONFIG as
  18.     follows:

  20.      Name           RIP
  21.      Available      Yes
  22.      Language text
  23.      Menu path      C:\RA\RIPMNU
  24.      Text path      C:\RA\RIPTXT
  25.      Ques           C:\RA\RIPTXT
  26.      Filename       C:\RA\RIP.RAL

  29.       Now create your various scenes with a RIP Drawing
  30.      program of your choice. I use RIPaint by TeleGrafixs
  31.  
  32.      RIPaint creates a file with an extension of .RIP.
  33.  
  34.       Copy the newly created scenes to the \RA\RIPTXT
  35.      directory changing the extension to .ANS
  36.  
  37.       Edit the new file with your favorite text editor and
  38.      place an ASCII 5 () character or a club symbol as the
  39.      first character of the first line. This can be done by
  40.      holding down the Alt key pressing the numeric keypad 5
  41.      and releasing
  42.  
  43.       The RIP Menus will need to be changed to display the
  44.      various new ANS files as any other graphical menu. Use
  45.      the type 40 option, Display ANS with hot keys active.
  46.  
  47.       It is a few extra steps to display the RIP scenes but
  48.      well worth the effort. Your users will love it!
